When I’m feeling good about something,
Appreciation surges forth from me.
I wonder where it goes?
What dark pockets in my life
Does it fill with liquid light?
Or does it fly to the ones I’m grateful for?
Does it smack them on the cheek,
Like an affectionate kiss?
Or does it stay right here in my little house?
Does it linger until it’s needed
Till the next time I feel blue
Then it’ll perk up and wave at me,
Yell, Hey! Look at me!
Remember when you left me here?
And my own tears of joy,
Juicy feelings, loving thoughts,
Rush to me and kiss me on the cheek.
And I say, Thank you, Me,
For leaving that here!
Bless you for feeling gratitude
So much that it flowed from you
And spilled love into my world,
Showing me a swift current to bliss.
Through my eyes like water
Through my body like fluids
Through my life like a river.
Appreciation
Makes life shiny and new!
Every moment can be my playmate
Who showers love all over me
A shimmering cloud of stars, like fairy dust
That settles into me and makes me smile.
Then joy reaches out through my hands
And shows affection
Cherishing against my cheek
Flowing delight and passion
And gratitude for the feeling
That the wheel of life is rising
Lifted by Love - by my Love - for all.
